Simona Halep’s 2022 Wimbledon journey will continue into the third round with a match against Magdalena Frech. The veteran beat Karolina Muchuova in the first round and Kirsten Flipkens in the second, both victories coming in straight sets. Against Flipkens, smashed two aces and converted six out of 13 break points to bag a 7-5, 6-4 victory. Since having a panic episode during a match at the French Open 2022, Halep has had her share of problems. Later, in a post on Instagram, the veteran claimed that despite appearances, she had suffered a great deal of difficulty.
Polish player Magdalena Frech made it through to the third round of The Championships after beating Anna Karolina Schmiedlova. In a match that ended 6-4, 6-4, Frech scored eight aces and won five out of seven break points. She also won seven service games. In the first round, the Pole recorded a shock victory over Camilla Giorgi 7-6 (7-4), 6-1.
Swiatek and Cornet are scheduled to face each other on Saturday, July 2 in the third round of the 2022 Championships. The timing of the match has not been decided yet. The Championships is scheduled to begin on June 27 and go on until July 10. There were a number of exciting matches on July 2 as the likes of Swiatek, Badosa, Krejcikova and others will be in action.
