Matthew Ebden and Samantha Stosur will face the pair of Jonny O’Mara and Alicia Barnett in the quarter-final of the 2022 Wimbledon Championships. Ebden and Stosur beat the top seeded pair of Shibahara and Rojer in the previous round by a score of 6-3, 7-6, 6-4. The unseeded pair recorded 15 aces and won four out of seven break points on the day. O’Mara and Barnett, on the other hand, edged past Jamie Murray and Venus Williams. The Brits won the match by a score-line of 3-6, 6-4, 7-6 (18-16).
The two teams are scheduled to face each other on Tuesday, July 5 in the round of 16 of the 2022 Championships. The timing of the match has not been decided yet. The Championships is scheduled to begin on June 27 and go on until July 10. There were a number of exciting matches on July 6 as the singles competition reaches its business end.
