Last year’s US open, Brooksby defeated Novak Djokovic in the first set but lost the next three sets in the thrilling fourth round encounter. Djokovic praised him after the thrilling match at Arthur Ashe Stadium.
World no. 92 Benoit Paire is having a difficult time both on and off the court. Paire is only 3-17 on the main stage this year, although he has lost numerous close matches. He hasn’t won any match or advanced to the next round in last 5 tournaments. Paire has struggled to close off sets and wins this season, as he normally gets himself in a good position to win a set or a match but then “freezes” on the court. Paire revealed earlier this year to having a mental impediment when it comes to finishing a set or a match.
