Mirra Andreeva have been in sensational form in last few months. Playing at her level best not only did she advance to quarterfinal round , she defeated the no 1 seeded player Sofia Costoulas after loosing first set and overwhelming her in the next 2 sets 7-5, 4-6, 6-1. Meanwhile her opponent for quarterfinal round Alexandra Eala of Philippines have not dropped a single set throughout the tournament and destroying everyone on the way. She defeated Taylah Preston in the previous round.
Mirra Andreeva and Alexandra Eala are scheduled to face each other on Thursday, September 8 in the quarterfinal of the 2022 US Open juniors. The fourth and final Grand Slam of the season began on August 29 and will go on until September 11.
