Carlos Alcaraz launched his Rolex Paris Masters campaign with a 6-4, 6-4 victory over Yoshihito Nishioka on centre court, with his position atop the Pepperstone ATP Rankings on the line this week. The Spaniard must reach the quarter-finals to retain his World No. 1 ranking, with Rafael Nadal within striking distance if he wins the ATP Masters 1000 event. With a 6-1, 6-3 victory over Grigor Dimitrov on Thursday, world No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz advanced past him in the third round of the Paris Masters.
