Neil Robertson was born on 11 February 1982. A former world champion and former world number one, he is an Australian professional snooker player. Robertson was born in Melbourne to British citizens Ian Robertson and Alison Hunter. His younger brother, Marc Robertson, is a professional pool player and former amateur snooker player. Norwood Secondary College in Ringwood was Robertson’s place of attendance. At the moment, he resides in Cambridge, England. He previously worked out at Willie Thorne’s snooker club in Leicester and the Cambridge Snooker Centre, but he now works out at the WT’s Snooker and Sporting Club in Cambridge. In 2014, Robertson switched to a vegan diet. He started eating a plant-based diet after Peter Ebdon, a fellow professional snooker player, advised him to do so.

He is the only player from outside of the United Kingdom to have won the World Championship in 2010, the Masters in 2012 and 2022, and the UK Championship in 2013, 2015, and 2020, making him the only Australian to have triumphed in a ranking event. A professional tournament was won by him every year between 2006 and 2022, giving him a total of 23 ranking titles in his career. Robertson, a skilled break-builder, has built five maximum breaks out of more than 850-century breaks in professional competition. In professional snooker history, he joins Judd Trump, John Higgins, and Ronnie O’Sullivan as the only other players to reach the 800-century milestone.

When he finished the 2013–14 season with a record 103 centuries, he became the first player to make 100 centuries in a single season. Robertson defeated John Higgins 9-8 to win the English Open in November. Neil was scheduled to defend his UK Championship crown later that month, but John Astley knocked him out in the opening round. He made it to the 2021 World Grand Prix final before losing to Ronnie O’Sullivan 10-8. He also advanced to the 2021 Champion of Champions quarterfinals before being defeated 6-4 by Kyren Wilson.
