According to demand letters sent by her lawyer, a woman claims that UFC fighter Conor McGregor sexually attacked her following Game 4 of the NBA Finals in Miami on June 9. The claims have been refuted by McGregor. Ariel Mitchell, the woman’s attorney, stated that a report had been made and that her client had given Miami police the clothes she had been wearing that evening. When questioned about an investigation on Thursday night, Miami cops remained silent.

NBA/Heat security accused of facilitating the assault

The alleged perpetrator claims that she was separated from a buddy during the game by NBA & Heat security employees and forced into a lavatory wherein McGregor and his safety officer were already waiting, according to letters written by attorney Ariel Mitchell on behalf of his client and obtained by TMZ. TMZ cited excerpts from the letters that assert “security refused to let [the woman] exit or allow anyone else, including her friend, inside the bathroom.”

The Allegation

According to the charge, McGregor came out of a handicapped stall “and shoved his tongue in the victim’s mouth and aggressively kissed her.” The woman reportedly managed to flee after repeatedly elbowing McGregor, who allegedly tried to sodomise her and forced her to engage in oral sex on him. Instead of filing a police report over this claimed assault, the victim is reportedly looking to settle with McGregor, the NBA, and the Miami Heat.

McGregor disputes the claims

A spokesperson for McGregor responded with a succinct statement, saying that the “allegations are false” against him and that “Mr. McGregor will not be intimidated.” But this isn’t the sole time McGregor has been accused of sexual assault. The New York Times said that a Garda prosecution had been initiated against the 34-year-old following a suspected attack in December of the previous year, and the man then faced identical accusations. Prosecutors abandoned the case against McGregor after more than a year of inquiry. Shortly after, a civil lawsuit was brought against McGregor; however, it seems to have come to a standstill when a motion for discovery was granted in March 2022.

McGregor’s notorious history

Over the course of his career, McGregor has been accused of multiple assaults. Most recently, in 2023, from a woman who said she was compelled to leave McGregor’s yacht during a 2022 birthday afterparty in Ibiza, Spain. The woman alleged that McGregor kicked and hit her, and that as a result of the conflict, she fell to the boat’s deck and broke her arm. Following news that the alleged victim’s car was intentionally torched on fire and that a brick had been hurled through a window of her residence, a civil lawsuit that had been filed in 2023 was dismissed.
