On Prime Video, ONE Fight Night 13: Allazov vs. Grigorian will showcase an interesting women’s atomweight kickboxing match that has all the makings of an unforgettable clash. Thai prodigy Anna “Supergirl” Jaroonsak returns to ONE Championship action on August 4 at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, to face seasoned Spanish striker Cristina Morales live in U.S. primetime.
“Supergirl,” widely regarded as one of the most brilliant young fighters in the world, will make her promotional kickboxing debut after suffering her first defeat in ONE while holding a 2-1 promotional record. While she did lose her most recent fight, it was a split decision loss to former two-sport ONE World Champion Stamp Fairtex, demonstrating that the 19-year-old phenom belongs among the best of the best. In fact, “Supergirl’s” performance in that fight was so spectacular that ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong awarded her a US$50,000 performance bonus.
Morales, on the other hand, intends to derail Jaroonsak Muay Thai athlete’s hype train. The 29-year-old mother of two, a former ISKA World Champion and veteran of almost 50 professional fights is no stranger to elite combat. Morales, like her Thai opponent, comes into this fight after losing to a great striker. She has, however, previously proven that she had the technique and sheer physical skills to take down any atomweight fighter on the globe.
A victory for either “Supergirl” or Morales would be extremely beneficial to their respective careers. Despite their previous setbacks, a solid performance on August 4 will move the winner one step closer to a crack at Janet Todd’s coveted ONE Women’s Atomweight Kickboxing World Title.
