Rising superstars Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland will be among the hot-properties in the summer transfer window due to their consistency and rise in stature. There have been speculations around the Paris Saint-Germain and Borussia Dortmund players’ move but nothing yet remains confirmed. However, La Liga President Javier Tebas, is certain that Mbappe and Haaland will arrive at Real Madrid with their main challengers Barcelona and Juventus remaining financially unstable. He also believes that Mbappe’s potential move to Real Madrid will raise the stakes for the Spanish league across the globe.

“Madrid will get Mbappe and [Erling] Haaland as the others [Barcelona and Juventus] are half [financially] ruined,” he was quoted as saying by espn.

“That Mbappe comes is great news for LaLiga. It would be a joy for LaLiga. It’s the best thing that could happen to LaLiga.”

La Liga president further clarified that he doesn’t has a clear indication about Mbappe’s future but Real Madrid remains the best case scenario for the French forward if he is not willing to extend his contract at the current club.

“I have no information regarding Mbappe,” Tebas said.

“But I’ve seen few cases of players who have six months left on their contracts that have not renewed their contracts and then went on to continue at the club.”

Barcelona legend Lionel Messi left his boyhood club as a free-agent to join French giants PSG while Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo had moved to Juventus from Real Madrid in 2018, leaving La Liga poorer.

Tebas said that although he knew that Messi is expected to move away from the league someday, it was a painful departure to witness for him.

“Just as when Cristiano Ronaldo, [Pep] Guardiola or [Jose] Mourinho left, we knew that one day this would happen,” Tebas said.

“We have been lucky to have had the two best footballers in the world in the two best teams in the world and LaLiga has been able to take advantage of that and be at the forefront worldwide.

“Perhaps Messi’s departure is more painful because I personally consider him the best in the history and he didn’t deserve to go like this, not just from Barca but from LaLiga.”

Kylian Mbappe’s reaction to his future speculation

Mbappe scored the winner in PSG’s 1-0 win over Real Madrid in the Champions League round of 16 opener. He said that his future remains undecided but he is happy to represent the French record champions.

“I know I play in one of the best teams in the world,” Mbappe said.

“I’m going to give everything in what is left of the season. I haven’t decided my future. I’m happy to be a PSG player.”

Mbappe’s potential arrival at the Bernabeu stadium would be a huge boost for LaLiga after the league lost multiple Ballon d’Or winners Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
