IPL 2022 Rajasthan Royals: Most runs scorer in the season

It was a great season in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 for Rajasthan Royals (RR). The team led by Sanju Samson managed to finish second in the table after fighting for a top 4 finish the entire season. Thanks to a better net run-rate, the Royals edged Lucknow Super Giants after final league game. RR had one of the best teams in IPL this season with quality throughout the squad. Their better net run-rate doesn’t come as a surprise as they have a batting unit that can take any bowling attack to the cleaners. RR opener Jos Buttler is the leading run scorer in IPL 2022 and their quality run deep into the lineup which was evident in their final league against Chennai Super Kings as all-rounder R Ashwin took them to victory with a blistering knock.

RR will be facing Gujarat Titans (GT) in the first playoff at Eden Gardens on Tuesday. RR’s formidable batting lineup will be up against the likes of Mohammad Shami and Rashid Khan. It will be an interesting match-up between two of the best sides this season. RR will be hoping for a big innings from their in-form batsman Buttler. It’s also time for skipper Sanju Samson to come up with a game-changing innings to lead his team into the finals.

Devdutt Padikkal comes in next, having scored 337 runs in 14 games. The big hitting West Indian Shimron Hetmyer is at fourth spot with 297 runs in 12 innings. Opener Yashasvi Jaiswal claims the fifth spot after scoring 212 runs in 7 matches. R Ashwin’s name at the sixth spot is a testament to the fact that he has been serving the team in more ways than one. He has 183 runs to his name from 10 innings.
