IPL 2022 PBKS vs SRH: Liam Livingstone guides Punjab Kings to a decent total

Punjab Kings are currently taking on SunRisers Hyderabad at DY Patil Sports Academy in Mumbai. PBKS vs SRH is the 28th match of the ongoing IPL 2022 where Liam Livingstone scored a steady fifty and helped his side put up a decent total of 151 runs.

Sunrisers Hyderabad won the toss and opted to bowl first. Put into bat, Punjab Kings had a tough start as they lost both the openers – Shikhar Dhawan (8) and Prabhsimran Singh (14) within the powerplay. Soon Jonny Bairstow too got out for a mere 12. It was a nicely drifted delivery from Suchith which the batter tried to shuffle across but missed and got hit in front as well.

Liam Livingstone scores a fifty in PBKS vs SRH match

While they were losing wickets from another end, Liam Livingstone held the fort from another. He smashed two boundaries and a six off Marco Jansen in the 6th over, helping the side to post 48 runs within the powerplay as well. Later, Liam Livingstone used Umran’s pace and hit over Jansen’s head at the third man for a maximum in the 10th over.

Both Shahrukh Khan and Liam Livingstone started to steady the ship and added 71 runs as well before the former got out for 28. Livingstone didn’t get much support from others as he helped the side put up 151 in their allotted 20 overs. He scored 50 off 33 with 5 fours and 4 sixes.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar-Umran Malik did well with the ball

Meanwhile, pace spearhead Bhuvneshwar Kumar managed to pick up 3 wickets, finishing with the figure of 3/22 in his 4 overs.

On the other hand, Umran Malik has impressed everyone with his bowling. His pace combined with a disciplined line and length helped him register the figures of 4 for 28 in his 4-over-spell.
