Lydia Ko, Andrea Lee, Atthaya Thitikul, BMW Ladies Championship 2022: Find Out The Full Results

Lydia Ko of New Zealand clinched her 18th LPGA Tour title at the BMW Ladies Championship 2022 in Wonju to take $300,000 prize money on October 23, 2022. This was her first victory in her birth nation, South Korea. She shot a final-round score of 21-under 267 and registered eight birdies against just one bogey to win the tournament at the Oak Valley Country Club. The 25-year-old defeated the USA’s Andrea Lee by a margin of four strokes after shooting a final round of seven under par. 

She started the day only one shot behind Atthaya Thitikul, who had led after 54 holes. Ko started strong, birdieing the second hole to move to -15 and maintain her lead over Thitikul. She birdied the par-5 fourth to equal the lead at -16. When Thitikul began to falter, Ko started to move ahead. With one hole left to play, she racked up birdies on holes 15, 16, and 17 to reach -21 and put herself ahead. She finished the round with a par to shoot a 7-under 65, thus claiming the title. Atthaya Thitikul finished sixth, just missing the opportunity to surpass Ko Jin-young of South Korea and take over as the new world no 1. With at least a fourth-place finish, she would have climbed to the top of the world rankings.
