Pape Sarr, born on September 14, 2002, is a Senegalese footballer who is currently playing for Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League and is also part of the Senegal national team. Pape Sarr started his professional career with Generation Foot in Senegal, his home country. Later, on September 15, 2020, he signed a five-year contract with Ligue 1 team Metz. He made his debut for Metz’s first team on November 29, 2020, in a Ligue 1 match against Brest. On August 27, 2021, Sarr joined Tottenham Hotspur.

However, he was loaned back to Metz until the conclusion of the 2021–22 season. On January 1, 2023, Sarr finally made Premier League debut in a 2–0 home defeat to Aston Villa. Since his debut against Aston Villa, Sarr has been a regular presence for Spurs, either as a substitute or a starter, including in the North London derby loss to Arsenal. He registered his first goal contribution, an assist, on May 28, 2023, in the last game of the season, a 4–1 away win against Leeds United.

On August 19, 2023, Sarr scored his first goal for Tottenham Hotspur in their first home game of the 2023–24 Premier League season, securing a 2–0 victory against Manchester United. Sarr made his debut for the Senegal national team on March 26, 2021, in an AFCON 2021 qualifier against Congo. He was also part of the Senegal team that won the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations. For his contributions, Sarr was honored as a Grand Officer of the National Order of the Lion by Senegal’s President Macky Sall following Senegal’s victory at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.
