Jeremy Doku, born on May 27, 2002, is a Belgian professional football player who plays for Manchester City in the Premier League and is also a part of the Belgian national team. Doku’s football journey began in Antwerp at a young age, where he started playing for KVC Olympic Deurne and Tubantia Borgerhout. Subsequently, he had a stint with Beerschot. Later, in 2012, at the age of 10, he made a significant move to R.S.C. Anderlecht. Doku made his professional debut with Anderlecht at just 16 years. Remarkably, he was the seventh youngest player to debut for Anderlecht.

On October 5, 2020, Doku joined Rennes, signing a five-year contract worth €26 million, making him the most expensive signing in the club’s history. During his second season, Doku faced setbacks due to injuries, scoring only one goal in Ligue 1 and making 14 appearances. Doku’s final match for Rennes took place on August 20, where he came on as a substitute in a 1–1 draw against RC Lens. The following day, it was reported that Rennes had accepted a 55 million pounds offer from Manchester City for his transfer, making him the Premier League champions’ new signing. This deal came after both the club and player turned down an official bid from West Ham United.

On August 24, Manchester City officially confirmed the signing of Doku, with a five-year contract. Doku made his debut for Manchester City on September 2 and on September 16, he scored his first goal for the team in a 3–1 away win over West Ham United. In addition to his club career, Doku represented the Belgium U17s at the 2018 UEFA European Under-17 Championship. He made his debut for the Belgium national team on September 5, 2020, against Denmark in the UEFA Nations League, and just three days later, he scored his first goal for the Belgian national team in a 5–1 victory against Iceland.
