Watford have been in stunning form on either side of the World Cup break, having pocketed 17 points from a possible 24. In their last outing against Huddersfield, Slaven Bilic’s side netted twice without reply, courtesy of a second half brace from Joao Pedro. Meanwhile, their form at home has been solid in the recent weeks, having conceded just once in their last four games. Millwall, on the other hand, are winless in their last three league outings. Last time out, the Lions shared the spoils against Wigan Athletic after Zean Fleming canceled out Will Keane’s opener. Even though Gary Rowett’s side are just two points off the playoff spot with a game in hand, only Huddersfield have picked up fewer points on the road in the Championship this season.
Watford midfielder Hamza Choudhary is sidelined with an injury and is likely to be out for one month. Keinan Davis, Matthew Pollock and James Morris are unavailable for Monday’s game because of a virus, while the likes of Tom Cleverly, Imran Louza and Kortney Hause are also occupying the medical room. As for Millwall, Hungarian striker Callum Styles is expected to return after recovering from an injury.
Watford probable starting lineup: Bachmann, Ngakia, Kabasele, Cathcart, Kamara, Sema, Bacuna, Dele-Bashiru, Joao Pedro, Sarr, Davis
Millwall probable starting lineup: Long, McNamara, Hutchinson, Cooper, Wallace, Mitchell, Saville, Fleming, Voglsammer, Styles, Bradshaw
