The result ended their four game winless streak and helped them close the gap on tenth-placed Girona to just two points. The Sky Blues have achieved a top half finish only once since 2016. Meanwhile, Celta Vigo came from behind to earn a 1-1 draw against Villarreal in the reverse fixture in January after Gerard Moreno’s early opener was canceled out by Jorgen Larsen mid-way through the second half.
