Tottenham Hotspur will host Leicester City on Sunday aiming to get their Premier League charge back on track. Spurs are winless in their last two games, having lost 1-0 to Brighton before playing out a goalless draw against Brentford last week. Meanwhile Leicester are also heading into the clash on the back of some not so great results, winless in the last four games across all competitions. The Foxes’ last match ended in a 1-1 draw against AS Roma in the first leg of the Europa Conference League on Thursday. Spurs are currently placed fifth in the standings, just two points adrift of the Champions League spot while Leicester occupy 11th place.

Antonio Conte’s side is struggling for goals

Antonio Conte’s side had an impressive run of form between mid-march to mid-April, winning four successive league games, before losing to Brighton on April 16. The Seagulls got the better of Spurs courtesy of Leandro Trossard’s last-ditch strike.  And then, Brentford also put in a solid performance to share the spoils. Spurs’ good results have been largely due the impressive performances of the front three Son Heung-min, Harry Kane and Dejan Kulusevski. However, in the last couple of games, teams seem to have found a way to neutralise Spurs’ attacking trio. In the last two matches, Spurs haven’t registered a single shot on target and that is a big cause of concern for Conte. The Italian coach will need to find a way to get his forward line firing on all cylinders as they did before, in order to fight for the champions League spot.

Leicester aiming to end win-less streak

On the other hand, the Foxes came from behind to earn a 1-1 draw against Jose Mourinho’s Roma at the King Power stadium and give themselves a fighting chance of advancing to the final of the Europa Conference League. A well-worked move from the Italian outfit in the first half ended with captain Lorenzo Pellegrini finishing through the legs of Kasper Schmeichel, but Gianluca Mancini’s own goal restored parity for the Foxes in the second period after some tireless work from Harve Barnes down the left channel. It was Leicester’s third successive draw and they have taken just two points from their last nine on offer to sit 10th in the table, 10 points off the top seven with a couple of games to spare.

Probable Lineups

Conte has few injury issues with Matt Dohery and Japhet Tanganga, both of them out of the season with knee injuries. Spurs have also revealed Oliver Skipp will be sidelined for long-term after undergoing groin operation. Meanwhile Sergio Reguilon will also miss the match with a groin issue.

As for Leicester, Timothy Castagne suffered an injury against Roma but Brendan Rodgers has affirmed that the right-back is in contention to lineup here after scans didn’t show any serious issues.Ryan Bertrand and Wilfred Ndidi are still out for the Foxes.

Tottenham Hotspur possible starting line-up: Lloris, Romero, Dier, Davies, Emerson, Hojbjerg, Bentancur, Sessegnon, Kulusevski, Kane Son.

Leicester City possible starting lineup: Schmeichel, Justin, Soyuncu, Amartey, Thomas, Tielemans, Soumare, Lookman, Maddison, Barnes, Iheanacho.
