Preston kicked off their campaign with two goalless draws against Wigan Athletic and Hull City before getting the better of Luton last weekend. Last Saturday, at Kenilworth Road, Brad Potts’ lone goal in the 18th minute was enough to secure Preston’s first league win of the season. Ryan Lowe’s side had managed to keep three clean sheets from as many league games so far and they are proving to be a hard unit to break down. Their defensive solidity has been one of the best in the league so far.

Rotherham on the other hand are very good going forward. Paul Warne’s men are happy to let the opposition have the bulk of the ball possession and rely on quick breakaway moves to get on the scoresheet. In their recent outing against Reading, Richard Wood, Conor Washington, Jamie Lindsay and Chiedozie Ogbene netted for the Millers to secure three points. As for Rotherham, Joshua Kayode and Tom Eaves are nursing muscle and ankle issues respectively. Washington is expected to lead the line alongside Ogbene.
