Maccabi Tel Aviv will host Hapoel Tel Aviv in an Israeli Premier League fixture at Bloomfield on Monday night. The hosts are heading into the match on the back of a 2-0 defeat to leaders Maccabi Haifa on Saturday, while Hapoel Tel Aviv lost 3-1 to Hapoel Jerusalem, a day later. Maccabi Tel Aviv are occupying third position in the table, having collected 13 points from their opening six games. The visitors, meanwhile, are languishing at the 13th spot in the 14-team table, with just three points pocketed thus far.

Dean Davis’ late double at Sammy Ofer Stadium handed Maccabi Tel Aviv their first league defeat of the campaign, last weekend. Prior to that, the Yellows secured a dominant 4-0 victory over Beitar Jerusalem courtesy of goals from Gavriel Kanichowsky, Oscar Gluh, Eran Zahavi and Eyal golasa. Hapoel, on the other hand, lost to Hapoel Jerusalem despite the fact that Alen Ozbolt gave the lead to the hosts, mid-way through the first half. Meanwhile, the Reds’ lone victory of the season came against M-Netanya (2-0), courtesy of strikes from Ozbolt and Kayes Ganam, early in September.

Probable Lineups

Maccabi Tel Aviv boss Vladimir Ivic is likely to opt for a 3-5-2 formation with Andre Geraldes, Sheran Yelhi and Enric Saborit forming the back-three. Eran Zahavi and Eyal Golasa are likely to partner up front with Davidzada and Piven occupying the flanks. As for Hapoel Tel Aviv, Ozbolt and Hisham Layous are expected to form the front-two with David Keltjens and Pablo Gonzalez Juaraz pulling the strings in the midfield.
