Trent Alexander-Arnold is undoubtedly one of the most promising young talents in world football currently. The Liverpool right-back emerged on the scene with a massive amount of potential and so far, he has managed to fulfil them. The English international has been an important player for Jurgen Klopp over the years, as the Reds have gone on to win almost every available tournament, they have participated in.

The ball-playing Liverpool full-back has only turned 25 and he is approaching his peak years as a footballer. Even though Trent Alexander-Arnold has already achieved so much at a relatively young age, he is eager for more. “The end of last season, the summer camp with England, that was the foundation to go and build on what I’ve built from. There were 10 or 15 games that I laid a good foundation for. And then for me, it was about demanding more from me,” he told Channel 4 during the international duty.

He added: “I’ve got high dreams and ambitions, and although I’ve achieved a lot of them, there’s still so much more that I want to achieve. And it’s about going and doing that. I’ve realised, for me, I’m not a young player anymore. [I’m] getting into hopefully the peak years of my career and how can I get the best out of that? And I’m the one that’s responsible for it, I’m the one that can make that happen. I’ve always felt like I’ve been in control of what I can go and achieve as a player, I just needed the opportunities to go and do that.”

Ryan Gravenberch on his jersey number

Summer signing Ryan Gravenberch has made an instant impact at the Premier League club after joining them this summer. He has chosen to wear the No.38 shirt for the Reds and went on to explain why. “My decision for 38 was because I made my debut in Ajax with 38. When I went to Bayern I chose also 38 because I have something special with that number because I made my debut [with it]. I think I will keep wearing 38 for, I think, all my life,” he had sat down with Sky Sports to answer fans’ questions from an ‘Ask Me Anything’ Q&A.

The Dutch midfielder was then asked whether any players had surprised him in training at Liverpool. Responding to that question, he spoke about another new summer arrival. “I think it was Dom Szoboszlai, because this guy’s shot… it’s crazy. His shot also in training, sometimes we shoot after the training and it’s like one, two, three, all go in and like crazy things. So I think it’s Dom with his shot,” he further added.
