Barcelona had been optimistic about reacquiring Lionel Messi on a free transfer, but their financial situation has hindered their ability to present an offer. Despite receiving approval from La Liga for their viability plan, the club still needs to offload players in order to accommodate Messi, and there is uncertainty regarding whether they can successfully balance the books. The absence of a guarantee seems to be the primary factor behind Messi’s decision to explore alternative options. While there were talks of a lucrative move to Saudi Arabia, it appears that Miami is now his favored choice.

In recent days, the MLS team has established themselves as the leading contenders to secure the signing of Lionel Messi, and it seems they are on the verge of acquiring the services of the Argentinian. The Athletic has revealed that the MLS side is making significant efforts to secure the services of the greatest of all time, and they have even tentatively scheduled a potential debut for him in their Leagues Cup encounter against Mexican club Cruz Azul on July 21. Even it is not yet official but Inter Miami’s owner, David Beckham, has consistently expressed his desire to bring Messi to the team, and now he may be on the brink of getting his man.

Inter Miami are reportedly set to offer Messi a landmark deal, where he will earn a percentage of the money that sponsors of the league will make from his arrival. He will reportedly earn money from both Adidas and Apple TV as part of the agreement. Additionally, there is speculation that Tata Martino could join Inter Miami as the potential replacement for Phil Neville as coach, further enhancing the allure of the team. Furthermore, there have been previous rumors linking Sergio Busquets to a potential move to Inter Miami, which could potentially see him reunite with Messi at the club.
