Girona will be looking to continue their unbeaten start to the 2023-24 La Liga season when they travel to Los Carmenes to take on Granada on Monday night. The visitors are heading into the match on the back of a narrow 1-0 win over Las Palmas before the international break on September 2, while Nazaries suffered a 5-3 defeat away to Real Sociedad last time out. Gironistes are currently occupying fourth spot in the Spanish top flight standings, having collected ten points from their opening four games, while the hosts are languishing at the 18th position, with three points to their name.

Granada started their La Liga campaign with back-to-back defeats against Atletico Madrid and Rayo Vallecano before getting the better of Mallorca 3-2 in their third match of the season at the end of August. But Paco Lopez’s side couldn’t keep up the momentum, losing to Real Sociedad last time out despite finding the back of the net three times through Robin Le Normand’s own goal and one goal each from Lucas Boye and Bryan Zargoza Martinez. The Andalusian side secured promotion to the La Liga courtesy of winning the Segunda Division title last term and their primary objective would be to not finish in the bottom three at the end of the league campaign.

Girona, on the other hand, have made an excellent start to the season, opening their campaign with a 1-1 draw against Real Sociedad before recording three successive wins against the likes of Getafe, Sevilla and Las Palmas. Gironistes edged past Las Palmas last time out thanks to Portu’s lone goal two minutes from time. Michel’s side have scored seven goals and conceded just two from their four top tier games this season and they will be looking to take all three points against a side which has the worst defensive record (conceded 12 goals) at this stage on Monday. The White and Reds will finish this month with games against Granada, Mallorca, Villarreal and Real Madrid.
