Against the Greek outfit, Nicolas Ofler opened the scoring before Michael Gregoritsch netted a brace to pocket all three points for Freiburg. Meanwhile, in the domestic circuit, Breisgau- Brasilianer have won five of their opening eight games to collect 17 points, level on points with leaders Union Berlin in the Bundesliga standings. Last time out, against Mainz, goals from Gregoritsch and Daniel-Kofi Kyereh helped Christian Streich’s side pocket all three points.
Nantes, on the other hand, have recorded just one win from their nine Ligue 1 games thus far, to be languishing at the 16th position in the standings. However, the French outfit kicked off their Europa League campaign with a dramatic 2-1 win over Olympiacos before losing 3-0 against Qarabag FK last month. Mostafa Mohamed opened the scoring before Evann Guessand netted a last-ditch winner to snatch all three points against the Greek outfit at home.

Freiburg’s injury list consists of Roland Sallai, Kimberly Ezekwem and Hugo Siquet. Petersen is likely to lead the line with Grifo, woo-Yeong and Achade in support. As for Nantes, Fabio Da silva and Fabien Centonze are nursing knee and hamstring injuries respectively. Ludovic Blas could spearhead the attack with Merlin sitting in front of the back-four.
