The Fantasy Premier League is back in action for Gameweek 5 after the international break. Managers have been busy making adjustments and hoping that their key players return from international duty without any injuries. Son Heung-Min, who scored a hat-trick against Burnley before the break, has been the most popular player chosen by managers for Gameweek 5. But who are the top recommendations for this week?

Let’s take a look at the 5 players to keep an eye on in gameweek 5:

Manor Solomon (Tottenham Hotspur) priced at 5.3m:

Manor Solomon made a strong impression in his first start of the season for Tottenham Hotspur in Gameweek 4. Operating on the left, he provided two assists for Son Heung-min’s three goals in a 5-2 victory over Burnley. Despite limited playing time at Fulham last season (633 minutes), Solomon managed to score four goals. His average of 158.3 minutes per goal was the second-best among midfielders with more than three goals. Priced at just £5.3m, he could offer excellent value in FPL if he continues to have a regular role under Ange Postecoglou.

Moussa Diaby (Aston Villa) priced at 6.6m

Aston Villa’s summer signing is currently their highest-scoring player in Fantasy Football, scoring 24 points in the first four Gameweeks. Diaby made a memorable debut by scoring against Newcastle United, and he followed that up with a goal and an assist in Gameweek 3 against Burnley. A favorable stretch of fixtures, beginning with a home game against Crystal Palace, adds to the idea of owning Villa’s key players over the coming weeks. According to the Fixture Difficulty Ratings (FDR), six of their next eight matches are rated as just two in terms of difficulty. Diaby’s statistics, including nine shots and seven chances created, are almost on par with Ollie Watkins, making him an appealing budget-friendly option for FPL mangers.

Ben White (Arsenal) priced at 5.5m:

Arsenal’s defender, Ben White, has an opportunity to earn som points in their upcoming away match against Everton. White kept a clean sheet in Arsenal’s only away match of the season, a 1-0 victory against Crystal Palace in Gameweek 2. Everton, their opponents, have scored only two goals in their four matches in the 2023/24 season, failing to score in three of those. White has also been involved in the attack, with four key passes, which is more than double the total of any other Arsenal defender, highlighting his potential for providing attacking returns.

Serge Aurier (Nottingham Forest) priced at 4.5m

Facing Burnley in their upcoming fixture boosts the potential of owning Serge Aurier, as he is massively involved in both defensive and offensive aspects of the game. In a previous home match against a newly promoted side, Aurier provided two assists and earned 10 points when they faced Sheffield United in Gameweek 2. Additionally, Nottingham Forest displayed greater defensive solidity at the City Ground last season, securing six clean sheets out of eight in home matches.

Rasmus Hojlund (Manchester United) priced at 7.0m:

Manchester United’s new forward, Rasmus Hojlund, is set for his home debut after making a substitute appearance in their last match against Arsenal. His prospects look promising as he faces Brighton & Hove Albion, a team that has yet to keep a clean sheet this season. Despite their struggles away from home, Manchester United has won both of their home matches, scoring four goals in the process. An in-form Hojlund could be a significant asset for Fantasy managers, especially considering the favorable run of fixtures ahead, with six of the next nine matches rated as just two in the Fixture Difficulty Ratings (FDR).
