Two sides challenging for a Champions League spot will be up against each other on Sunday as Atalanta play host to Juventus in a Serie A fixture at Gewiss Stadium. The host are currently occupying fifth spot in the Italian top flight standings, having collected 58 points from 33 games, level on points AC Milan and AS Roma placed at sixth and seventh positions respectively. The visitors, meanwhile, are sitting two places above the Goddess, separated by five points, and trailing the second-placed Lazio by a solitary point. Meanwhile, the reverse fixture between these two sides in January ended in a 3-3 draw.

Atalanta are heading into the match on the back of a thrilling 3-2 win against Spezia last Tuesday thanks to goals from Marten De Roon, Davide Zappacosta and Luis Muriel. It was their third consecutive victory and the result extended their unbeaten run to four matches in the top flight. The Black and Blues have picked up most points of any team in Serie A over the last seven matchdays. Gian Piero Gasperini’s side have won half of their 16 league-matches at home this term, while losing five times in the process. La Dea have got a better away-record than what they have achieved at Gewiss stadium this season.

Juventus, on the other hand, got the better of Lecce last time out courtesy of first-half efforts from Leandro Paredes and Dusan Vlahovic. The result ended their five-game winless run across all competitions and it was Juve’s 19th Serie A-victoryof the season. Bianconeri are going through bit of a rough patch, having won just three of their last ten matches in all competitions. Meanwhile, the Old Lady are winless in their last five away-games across all competitions, losing three matches in the period. Massimiliano Allegri’s side have collected just 24 points from a possible 48 on the road and their last away-win came against Inter Milan in the top flight in March.
