With the Premier League season done and dusted, the attention has shifted to the summer transfer window and pre-season friendlies. The supporters will be eagerly monitoring every transfer rumour associated with the club to see who they will sign in this window. It is important for Arsenal to make some quality additions to their squad if they are to close down the gap with Premier League champions Manchester City in the coming season.

For long parts of last campaign, Arsenal were leading the Premier League table. However, a late collapse saw Manchester City leapfrog the Gunners to lift the crown. The focus has now shifted to the new season and possible transfer recruits. The first chance for fans to see the new signings will be in pre-season friendlies. With two summer fixtures already announced, the date for the third and big one has also been revealed finally.

When will Arsenal take on Barcelona?

Arsenal will take on La Liga champions Barcelona in Los Angeles on July 26. The game will be hosted at SoFi Stadium, home of the LA Rams. The warm-up game will be a part of the Soccer Champions Tour series. The exhibition tournament will happen between July 22 and August 2. The Gunners will be placed alongside other European heavyweights such as Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester United, AC Milan and Juventus.

The contest against Barcelona will be the final pre-season match in the USA. They will start with a contest against the MLS All-Stars in Washington DC on July 19. Then the Gunners will face their domestic foes Manchester United in New Jersey on July 22. The eagerly-awaited competition will be hosted in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Dallas, Baltimore and Orlando.

Speaking about the same, Sporting Director Edu, quoted by the club’s website, said, “Our match against Barcelona in Los Angeles is another great opportunity for Mikel and our men’s first-team squad to prepare for the exciting new season.
