The merciless gacha system in Genshin Impact includes mechanics like Pity and Soft Pity. They enable players to receive a guaranteed 5-star pull after making a certain number of wishes on various banners (standard, limited, and weapon banners). Newcomers frequently have difficulty understanding how Pity, Soft Pity, and 50-50 work in Genshin Impact. Naturally, this has an impact on their ability to budget for Primogems. With that in mind, here’s a quick primer for newcomers to Pity, Soft Pity, and guaranteed 5-star pulls. How To Find Pity And Guarantee 5-Star Pull In Genshin Impact

How To Find Out Pity And Guarantee 5-Star Pull In Genshin Impact

First and foremost, the Pity in both the standard banner and the limited-time character banners is set to 90. The Pity for the Epitome Invocation banner (weapon banner) is set to 80. If a player uses 89 Intertwined Fates on the limited-time character banner and doesn’t get a five-star character, they will get a five-star on the 90th pull. Every time a traveller receives a five-star drop, Pity is reset to 0.

However, the featured character has a 50/50 chance of being the guaranteed five-star character. If players lose the coin toss, the featured character will be the next five-star drop. Players must go to the banners in the game to check their Pity count. They’ll find a ‘History’ section in the bottom left corner of the screen.

The history section displays all of the wishes made on the chosen banner in the previous six months. Each page contains six wishes, and players can keep track of how many they’ve made since their last five-star character.

How to check guaranteed five-star pull in Genshin Impact?

To determine whether their next five-star character is guaranteed to be the one featured on a banner, players must check the ‘History’ section to see if the previous five-star drop was a featured character or not. For example, if the last five-star character they received from the character banner was Diluc, Keqing, Jean, Mona, or Qiqi, they will receive a guaranteed Ayaka. If their last five-star drop was a featured character like Ayato, Yae Miko, Kokomi, or Raiden Shogun, the next five-star pull will have a 50/50 chance of bringing in Ayaka.

Soft Pity is also available in HoYoverse’s action RPG, starting at 75 pulls. This means that players are more likely to get a five-star drop before their 90th wish, and the chances increase after the 75th wish.
