Genshin Impact announced the delay in version 2.7, but has yet to reveal the content that will be added during the patch 2.6 extension. Ayaka’s banner will remain up until May 11, 2022, and the community has no idea what will happen next. As is customary in the community, ‘Uncles’ have come forward with some reliable speculations about the 2.7 Special Program and upcoming content. They’ve announced a new date for the 2.7 live stream as well as the banners that may appear during the delay. Genshin Impact 2.7 Delay: What characters and weapons are expected in the filler update?

Genshin Impact 2.7 live stream might take place on May 20

Uncle Y, a trustworthy leaker, has claimed:

  • During the delay, HoYoverse will not release any new banners.
  • The 2.7 Special Program has been rescheduled for May 20, 2022.

If Uncle Y is correct, there will be no new banners after Ayaka in Genshin Impact version 2.6. In the coming weeks, only the Standard Banner will be available, rather than a new character event wish banner and an Epitome Invocation banner. During the delay, Genshin Impact may bring back a five-star character from the Standard Banner, such as Diluc or Keqing.

According to prominent leaker Lumie, version 2.7 has been delayed by three weeks. As a result, the 2.7 live stream should take place on May 20 or later. If Lumie’s prediction holds true, version 2.7 should be available on June 1, 2022. Ideally, this would have been the release date of version 2.7’s second half, which was supposed to include Arataki Itto’s rerun banner with Kuki Shinobu.

Will Genshin Impact shorten version 2.7?

During the 2.7 beta testing period, HoYoverse reduced the amount of EXP needed to raise the Battle Pass level from 1000 to 600. Beta testers and players assumed that this was to include a condensed version of the Battle Pass in patch 2.7, which travellers would be able to complete in three weeks. The most recent leaks and rumours, however, tell a different story. The Battle Pass changes mentioned above have been reversed, and no patches will be extended or shortened. They’re just being repositioned.

Overall, more clarity on the 2.7 delay is to be expected following HoYoverse’s subsequent announcement. The developers will talk about the new release dates, a new live stream date, and compensation.
