Battlegrounds Mobile India claims to have 35 million registered users

They have said Battlegrounds Mobile India has a concurrent user peak of 2.4 million, while the maximum daily users were recorded at a whopping 16 million.

The Indian gaming community has shown their love for Battlegrounds Mobile India and is continuing to do so. It started with Battlegrounds Mobile India being the most downloaded top free game. It also ranked second in ‘top-grossing game’ on the Google Play store within 24 hours of its release. Now, they have said they have a concurrent users peak of 2.4 million. The maximum daily users were recorded at a whopping 16 million. In addition to this, they have also claimed to have 35 million registered users playing the game

Aneesh Arvind, the publishing head at Krafton India, thanked the BGMI enthusiasts by posting “Battlegrounds Mobile India recorded 34 Million registered users & 16 Million daily active users! A big thank you to all our players for their support.”

In a blog post, Krafton, the South Korean gaming giant shared. “Krafton plans to further expand the PUBG IP in India by holding the ‘Battleground Mobile India’ e-sports competition for Indian users only. In addition, we plan to do our best to foster the Indian game industry and e-sports ecosystem through continuous investment.”

Lim Woo-yeol, general manager of PUBG Mobile Headquarters, said, “Thank you for your enthusiastic support from Indian users. We will continue to work hard to develop content to provide more fun.” He said, “Starting with ‘Battlegrounds Mobile India’, I hope that Krafton and India’s game and e-sports industries will grow together.”

Krafton posted on their official social media handles, “It’s time to make history. Squad up for the biggest battle you’ve all been waiting for. Stay tuned for more.” This definitely suggests something big is waiting for BGMI fans right around the corner.

It has only been a week since the official launch of Battlegrounds Mobile India, and Krafton is already doing all it can to revive its Esports after a ten-month-long ban. The South Korean publisher announced the BGMI Launch Party tournament where 18 teams consisting of famous content creators across the country will compete against each other for a prize pool of Rs. 6,00,000.
