Battlegrounds Mobile India to announce Rs. 1 Crore prize pool India Series tournament

In the middle of the first Battlegrounds Mobile India esports event– Launch Party, Krafton teased the roadmap to esports in India. Now, expected details of the tournaments are getting leaked and reports suggest major Esports event awaits all BGMI fans. The India Series could have a potential prize pool of Rs 1 crore.

The Launch Party saw Team Snax winning the event. A total of 18 Indian streamers competed in the event where Team Snax won Rs 3,30,000 as prize money. The Launch Party event got a huge response from the audience and the viewership was a total of more than half a million views.

Battlegrounds Mobile India Series Format

According to a report by Gamzo, the first major tournament could be titled BGMI India Series. The series will follow an open to all format. The in-game qualifiers are expected to start on 2 August 2021 and will follow multiple online qualifier stages. Players must improve their ranks to Platinum tier or higher to be eligible to play the qualifiers.

The report also suggests that BGMI India Series will feature a massive prize pool of Rs 1,00,00,000 (1 crore) among and the winner will get a massive share of Rs 50 Lakh.

Krafton posted on their official social media handles, “It’s time to make history. Squad up for the biggest battle you’ve all been waiting for. Stay tuned for more.” This definitely suggests something big is waiting for BGMI fans right around the corner.

It has only been a week since the official launch of Battlegrounds Mobile India, and Krafton is already doing all it can to revive its Esports after a ten-month-long ban. The South Korean publisher announced the BGMI Launch Party tournament where 18 teams consisting of famous content creators across the country will compete against each other for a prize pool of Rs. 6,00,000.
