Eldia and Marley’s millennia of enmity

Despite their 2000-year-old animosity, Eldians and Marleyans have joined forces to stop Eren’s genocide. When General Magath openly stated his hatred for Eldians, he addressed millennia of killings and bloodbaths. When he refers to Edlians as Devils, Jean intervenes to remind him of his country’s countless killings. With a history of vengeance, the conversation devolves into a massive debate until Yelena reminds both parties of their heinous crimes.

Yelena’s truth revealed

Yelena silently instigates both sides into the argument from the start in order for them to address the past before fighting together. The episode emphasises her false origin storey, demonstrating how her background story reinforces her desire to be a significant part of history.

In the absence of Eren, these arguments have a tendency to bring all of the characters to a healthier place. However, it does not rule out the possibility of a future fallout. Currently, they are all working together to overcome the Jaegerists’ resistance. The questions of whether they will defeat Eren Jaeger or whether the battle will end in a doomed future remain unanswered.
