England Women and Australia Women will now play against each other in the first game of a three-match ODI series on Wednesday, July 12 at the County Ground in Bristol. Heather Knight-led England will be high on confidence as they have successfully clinched the T20I series by beating Australia 2-1. It was for the first time since 2017 that the Australian side lost a bilateral series. However, Australia were leading the series 1-0 before losing the series as well.
Meanwhile, Australia will be looking to do well in the 50-over format, and being the world champions they will try to keep their performance on as well. Beth Mooney was the leading run-scorer in the T20I series and a lot depended on her in the opening as well. Meanwhile, left-arm spinner Jess Jonassen also did well with the ball for the Aussies, but her efforts went in vain as they failed to win. Apart from that, there is the star all-rounder Ellyse Perry, who has done quite well with the bat and she is expected to keep the momentum on as well. England, on the other hand, will be trying to carry forward their winning momentum with the likes of Danni Wyatt and Sophie Ecclestone being in good form as well.
The tournament will be seen on Sony Sports Network. However, it will be live-streamed on Sony LIV as well.
