In a much-anticipated comeback, Suryakumar Yadav is poised to rejoin the Mumbai Indians squad for the upcoming IPL 2024 season. According to reliable sources from Cricbuzz, the dynamic batsman has been given the green light by the National Cricket Academy and is slated to link up with the team on Friday, April 5 and is set to play the game against the Delhi Capitals.
The journey back to the cricket field has been a challenging one for Yadav. His last appearance in competitive cricket dates back to December 2023, where he showcased his brilliance with a remarkable century in the third T20I against South Africa. Subsequently, Yadav underwent a procedure for a sports hernia, which extended his period of rehabilitation at the NCA facility in Bengaluru.
