Durham and Nottinghamshire are all set to take on each other in a North Group match of the Vitality T20 Blast 2023 on Monday, May 29 at the Riverside Ground in Chester-le-Street. Durham, led by Alex Lees, has started their campaign on a high note in the tournament. They are placed second in the points table with four points and a net run rate of +2.590 as well thanks to their twin victories in both matches. They will go into the game after defeating Yorkshire by 28 runs as well. After setting a huge target of 218 for the opponents to chase down, Durham successfully restricted Yorkshire to 189 for the loss of seven wickets as well.
Nottinghamshire, on the other hand, are placed fifth in the points table with two points and a net run rate of +0.296 as well. They will go into the game after losing to Lancashire by 22 runs at the Emirates Old Trafford in Manchester as well. After posting a huge target of 209 to chase down, Nottinghamshire only managed 186 runs for five. Colin Munro smashed four fours and five sixes while scoring 60 off 29 balls, but his valiant efforts went in vain as they lost the match.
