Jason Behrendorff is a professional cricketer who represents England cricket team Internationally. Chris has played in all the three formats of the game for the England cricket team. Chris plays for Surrey in domestic cricket. He has been a part of multiple franchises in the Indian Premier League. He was born on 10 October 1988 in Christ Church, Barbados. Chris is currently the highest wicket taking bowler for England in the T20 format. He in his early days did schooling from Barbados from where he got a sports scholarship, which made him eligible to study in Dulwich College, England. A famous singer Rihanna and Chris used to attend the same school in Barbados. 

In domestic cricket Chris played his debut match for Surrey in August 2007 against Middlesex. Being Surrey’s most promising youngster in 2007, he was honored by NBC Denis Compton Award. After getting released by Surrey, Chris went to Barbados national cricket team. He returned for the 2013 season of English cricket and joined Sussex. In his first match he took his best 6 wickets for 48 runs. Chris was technically eligible to play for both West Indies and England cricket team Internationally, but he decided to play for England. It was in September 2013, when he played his debut One Day International match for England against Australia. He took his first 5-fer in ODI on 28 May, 2014 against Sri Lanka.

Chris became part of the 2015 ICC world cup. He got to play only two matches throughout the tournament. In a must win match against  Bangladesh, Chris took 2 wickets but England ended up on the losing side. Chris was given man of the match award for his performance in his 2nd match against Afghanistan. He also became part of England’s T20 team for the 2016 ICC T20 world cup. England ended up being the runner ups in the tournament. He was included in England’s team for the 2022 ICC T20 world cup. He at the later stages of the tournament got to play instead of Mark Wood due to injury. He took 3 wickets against India in the semi finals and took 2 wickets in the finals. His role in the finals was crucial and helped England win the tournament.

Chris has been a part of many Indian Premier League teams since 2016. He was first signed by Royal Challengers Bangalore in place of injured Mitchell Starc. After getting released by RCB in 2017, he was acquired by Sunrisers Hyderabad. In the 2020 IPL auctions, he was signed by Kings Eleven Punjab for INR 3 crores. He is currently playing for Chennai Super Kings under MS. Dhoni. Chris has also been a part of Pakistan Super League and currently he is signed by Karachi Kings. In the very first season of The Hundred, he was acquired by Southern Brave. He played a crucial role in his team winning the tournament. For the 2022 season of The Hundred, he was again picked by Southern Brave.
