Yorkshire will take on Worcestershire in the 67th match of the Vitality T20 Blast 2023 at the Headingley in Leeds on Friday, June 9. After a poor start to their campaign, Yorkshire have bounced back well in the tournament as they have won four games consecutively, including a 30-run victory against Leicestershire in the last game as well. They have moved to fifth place in the points table with eight points and a net run rate of +0.046 as well. Batting first, they managed to post 156/7 in the first innings, courtesy of David Wiese (50) and Ben Mike (30). In reply, Jordan Thomson claimed five wickets to seal the deal.

On the other hand, Worcestershire are coming into the match on the back of two consecutive defeats, including a four-wicket defeat against Lancashire in the last match. The team will be looking to bounce back in the winning zone and reclaim their top spot in the points table as they currently stand second with eight points and a net run rate of +0.786 as well. After being asked to bat, Mitchell Santner played a quick knock of 57 runs off just 33 balls at a strike rate of 172.72 and helped his side post a decent total of 177/9 in 20 overs. Defending 178, Dillon Pennington bowled brilliantly and claimed two wickets but it wasn’t enough as he failed to take the team home.
