Worcestershire will play against Nottinghamshire in the 97th game of the Vitality T20 Blast 2023 on Thursday (June 22) at the New Road in Worcester. Worcestershire have won six out of ten matches so far and they are on a two-match winning streak. On the other hand, Nottinghamshire have won four out of their last five games this season as well. They have won a total of seven games out of 11 as well.

However, In Worcestershire’s recent game against Lancashire, Lancashire had a poor start, losing four wickets in the PowerPlay. However, Rob Jones and Jos Buttler added 98 runs and helped Lancashire reach a total of 164 runs for the loss of eight wickets in their allotted 20 overs as well. Patrick Brown did well for Worcestershire, taking three wickets for 32 runs in three overs as well. While chasing, Worcestershire also had a poor start, losing their first wicket early. Later, Mitchell Santner and Jack Haynes added an 81-run partnership for the third wicket. Haynes later added 54-run with Adam Hose, which helped them win Worcestershire by seven wickets and 14 balls in hand.

On the other hand, Nottinghamshire’s last match was against Leicestershire on Tuesday, where Joe Clarke scored another half-century, helping Nottinghamshire reach a total of 165 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 20 overs as well. Apart from Clarke, no other batter could manage a good score for Nottinghamshire. Tom Scriven did well with the ball, claiming four wickets for 21 runs in four overs, while Callum Parkinson picked up three, conceding 22 runs in his four overs. Nick Welch and Peter Handscomb added 63 runs for Leicestershire, his efforts went in vain as they faced a 22-run defeat.
