Worcestershire will take on Lancashire in the upcoming match of the North Group in the ongoing Vitality T20 Blast 2023 on Monday (June 19). Worcestershire have so far won five out of their nine games this season and they are currently placed in fifth place in the North Group points table with 10 points. On the other hand, Lancashire have won six matches out of their ten matches and placed at the second of the points table with 12 points as well.

However, Usama Mir’s four-fer and Brett D’Oliveira’s all-round show helped Worcestershire to register a comfortable victory over Leicestershire, who faced their eighth loss in 10 games as well. For Worcestershire, this was their first win after a string of four defeats. Apart from Peter Handscomb (36) and Rishi Patel (27), there weren’t any contributions from others as Leicestershire were bundled out for 112. D’Oliveira kept Worcestershire in the race despite losing a few wickets as well. He stayed till the end, scoring 51 off 39, to help his side over the line in 16.2 overs as well.

Meanwhile, Daryl Mitchell and Luke Wells hit the fifties while Jos Buttler and Liam Livingstone scored steady 30s to help Lancashire put up 195/7 against Durham in Manchester as well. Alex Lees and Michael Jones scored quickfire fifties to power the chase as they put on 125 for the opening wicket as well. But Durham lost three quick wickets and they reached 150/3 in 17 overs when rain finished the game, with the chasing team eight short of the target as per the DLS method as well. Notably, Wells did well with the ball, claiming two crucial wickets. This was Lancashire’s fifth win in nine games so far as well.
