Middlesex and Sussex are all set to take on each other in a South Group match of the Vitality T20 Blast 2023 on Thursday, June 8 at the Lord’s Cricket Ground in London. Middlesex, led by Stephen Eskinazi, have had a rather forgettable campaign so far as they have lost all seven matches and placed right at the bottom of the points table with a poor net run rate of -1.539 as well. However, they will go into the match after losing to Hampshire by five runs in their last match. After being asked to chase down 165, Middlesex could only manage 159. Max Holden scored 53 runs, but his efforts went in vain as he failed to take the team home.
On the other hand, Sussex, too, didn’t have a great tournament so far as well. They may go down to the bottom of the table if they lose to Middlesex as well. They have only two points and a net run rate of -1.323, with wins in one out of six matches so far as well. They will go into the match after losing to Essex by five wickets. Their bowlers failed to do well as Essex chased down a target of 148 with 31 balls in hand. Ravi Bopara scored 50 off 31, but his knock could not save his side from losing as well. Seeing this, a thrilling game can be expected as well.
The tournament won’t be seen on television. However, it will be live-streamed on FanCode.
