Leicestershire (LEI) and Worcestershire (WOR) are all set to play against each other in the 86th match of the Vitality T20 Blast 2023 at County Ground in Leicester on Sunday (June 18). They are currently staying in contrasting positions on the points table as Leicestershire are placed at the bottom of the points table with just two wins out of nine matches so far, whereas Worcestershire are placed in sixth spot with four wins from nine matches as well. However, in their recent match against Yorkshire, Leicestershire faced a defeat by 8 wickets. Despite the defeat, Louis Kimber’s 59 runs off 38 balls and Nick Welch’s quickfire 40 runs off 24 balls helped the team. Michael Finan stepped up with the ball, claiming two wickets.
On the other hand, Worcestershire faced a defeat in their last match against Warwickshire by 21 runs while chasing a target of 197 runs as well. Brett D’Oliveira scored 50 runs off 38 balls and Adam Hose scored 36 runs off 26 balls whereas Usama Mir stepped up with the ball, scalping three wickets as well. As Leicestershire hope to bounce back from their recent losses, Worcestershire will try to regain momentum after their loss so the upcoming match likely to be an interesting contest as well.
