Lancashire will play against Derbyshire in the upcoming match of the Vitality T20 Blast 2023 at Emirates Old Trafford in Manchester on Friday (June 23). Both teams currently occupy different spots on the points table, with Lancashire in fourth place with six wins from twelve games so far, whereas Derbyshire placed sixth with five wins from eleven games so far as well. However, in their recent match against Worcestershire, Lancashire faced a 7-wicket defeat. Jos Buttler played a key role, scoring 74 runs off 54 balls, and Rob Jones hit 42 runs off 30 balls. Jack Blatherwick picked up two wickets.
On the other hand, Derbyshire registered a comprehensive win in their last match against Northamptonshire, winning by 6 wickets as well. Luus Du Plooy also scored 40 runs off 23 balls, and Harry Came scored 43 runs off 40 balls. In the bowling department, Zaman Khan took three wickets, while Alex Thompson and George Scrimshaw claimed two wickets each. However, both teams will be aiming to secure an important victory to improve their position in the points table as well.
