The Nellai Royal Kings finished the league stages in third place where they won five games out of seven games as well and they finished with 10 points also. They faced Ba11sy Trichy in their last league match and beat them with ease. They will look to repeat their performance once again against the Panthers in the Eliminator as well. Bowling first, the Royal Kings did a great job of restricting Trichy to 146/6 in a rain-curtailed match of 19 overs per side. Ajitesh Guruswamy (56* off 29 balls) hit a quickfire fifty and helped the team to chase the total in just 11.5 overs.
The Siechem Madurai Panthers, meanwhile, won their final league match against the Idream Tiruppur Tamizhans to seal a place in the playoffs of TNPL 2023. They will be high in confidence after the win and will try to carry forward the winning momentum as well. After being asked to bat first, the Panthers posted 160 in their 20 overs. Gurjapneet Singh and Ajay Krishna claimed two wickets each as it helped them restrict the Tamizhans to 156/6 to win the game by four runs as well.
