Lyca Kovai Kings had a winning start to the tournament with a 70-run win over iDream Tiruppur Tamizhans. Sai Sudharsan top-scored with 86 (45) to help the team reach 179/7 as well. Shahrukh Khan’s 3/20 then helped the defending champions as they started their campaign with a win.
Nellai Royal Kings, on the other hand, also had a winning start to the tournament. They beat Siechem Madurai Panthers by six wickets in their first match as well. Mohan Prasath’s spell of 3/26 reduced Siechem Madurai Panthers to 126/8 as well. In return, they successfully chased down the total that too in the 14th over. Since both teams are in great form, a thrilling contest can be expected on Friday, June 16 as well.
