Zimbabwe will play against Oman in the 1st match of the Super Sixes round of the ICC World Cup Qualifier 2023 at the Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo on June 29. Zimbabwe won all four matches and they have finished the league stage at the top of the table in Group A. Oman, on the other hand, won and lost two matches each and finished in the third position in Group B points table as well. Zimbabwe had played against the USA in their last match, where Zimbabwe completely thrashed the USA as they put up 408 runs, including a fabulous knock of 174 from their captain Sean Williams. While chasing, the USA had a poor start, losing six wickets just at the score of 45 as well. While three of their batters could reach double digits, they were bowled out for just 104 and Zimbabwe won the match by a huge margin of 304 runs as well.
On the other hand, Oman had played against Scotland in their last match, where being put to bat, Scotland had lost their first wicket on a duck but they had returned brilliantly due to brilliant second and third-wicket partnerships. Brandon McMullen stepped up with the bat for Scotland hitting 136 off 121 balls. Scotland posted a huge total of 321 runs to chase down, but Oman couldn’t do well. Although they could do well towards the end, it was not sufficient as Scotland won the match by 76 runs as well. Seeing this, a thrilling contest can be expected as well.
The match will be televised on Star Sports Network (SS1 SD+HD). However, it will also be live-streamed on Disney+ HotStar and FanCode.
