The final of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 Qualifiers will see Sri Lanka play against the Netherlands at the Harare Sports Club in Harare on July 9. Both sides have already made it to the ICC World Cup later this year, playing in India as well. Sri Lanka are the only unbeaten team in the Qualifiers. They are in great form and are sitting comfortably at the top of the Super Sixes points table as well. They beat the West Indies in their last match and will look to stay unbeaten by winning the final also. However, against the West Indies, Sri Lanka bundled them out for 243, courtesy of a four-fer from Maheesh Theekshana. In reply, Pathum Nissanka (104) and Dimuth Karunaratne (83) did well at the top of the order to help them chase down the total in the 45th over as well.
The Netherlands, on the other hand, had to beat Scotland in their last Super Six match to qualify for the final as well. They stepped up well and etched their name in the history books to emerge victorious and qualify for the World Cup in India later this year as well. On the back of a fifer from Bas de Leede, the Netherlands restricted Scotland to 277/9 as well. Later, de Leede scored 123 off 92 balls to help his side reach the total in 42.5 overs with four wickets in hand. And, they will look to carry forward the winning momentum against Sri Lanka as well.
The match will be televised on Star Sports Network (SS1 SD+HD). However, it will also be live-streamed on Disney+ HotStar and FanCode.
