'Baby ABD' Dewald Brevis Goes to Mumbai Indians for Rs 3 Crore, Rahul Tripathi Fetches Big Bucks

Baby ABD Dewald Brevis has been rewarded for his fantastic performance in the ICC Under-19 World Cup. Brevis, one of the leading run-getters in the recent ICC Under-19 World Cup 2022, was bid for by Chennai Super Kings, Mumbai Indians and Punjab Kings. In the end, Dewald Brevis went to Mumbai Indians for Rs 3 crore. The uncapped players saw Dewald Brevis dominate. But, he was later usurped by Rahul Tripathi. The batter had a huge bid from Chennai Super Kings, Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad. After an intense war, Rahul Tripathi went to Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs 8.5 Crore.

Priyam Garg was taken by Sunrisers Hyderabad at his base price of Rs 20 lakhs. Abhinav Sandrangani was sold for Rs 2.6 crore to Gujarat Titans. Sandragani is an aggressive batter from Karnataka. Ashwin Hebbar went to Delhi Capitals for Rs 20 lakhs.

Fast Bowlers Rewarded in IPL 2022 Mega Auction

The capped fast bowling set in the IPL 2022 Mega Auction had a field day. Players like Deepak Chahar, Prasidh Krishna and Lockie Ferguson all had excellent pay days. Deepak Chahar was involved in an intense bidding war between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Chennai Super Kings. In the end, Chennai Super Kings acquired the pace bowler’s services. Prasidh Krishna, who excelled in India vs West Indies series, was in an intense bidding war with Gujarat Titans, Lucknow Super Giants and Rajasthan Royals. In the end, Prasidh Krishna went for Rs 10 crore to the Royals.

Lockie Ferguson was the next bowler and he also was bid for in a big way by Royal Challengers Bangalore and Lucknow Super Giants. He was bid heavily and he went to Lucknow Super Giants for Rs 10 crore. Josh Hazlewood got bids from Chennai Super Kings and Lucknow Super Giants. Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians jumped in after the preceding two teams dropped out. Royal Challengers Bangalore also ventured in. Hazlewood then went to Royal Challengers Bangalore for Rs 7.75 crore.

Ishan Kishan Breaks the Bank in IPL 2022 Mega Auction

The IPL 2022 Mega Auction saw an intense battle for the wicketkeepers, with Ishan Kishan becoming the bank-breaker. After Shreyas Iyer was picked for Rs 12.25 crore by Kolkata Knight Riders, Ishan Kishan stole the show. Punjab Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians had an intense battle. Ishan Kishan and Ambati Rayudu were bid in a big way. Ambati Rayudu was the first player to be bid after Matthew Wade was unsold. Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad jumped in but in the end, Rayudu went to Chennai Super Kings for Rs 6.75 crore.

Ishan Kishan was rapidly bid for by Mumbai Indians and Punjab Kings. His price went past Rs 8 crore rapidly and the bidding became intense. In the end, Ishan Kishan ended up with a whopping Rs 15.25 crore and he went to Mumbai Indians. He became the highest bid player in the IPL 2022 Mega Auction. After Ishan Kishan, Jonny Bairstow was bid and he had good calls from Punjab Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad. In the end, Bairstow went to Punjab Kings for Rs 6.75 crore.
