Pakistan A have had a great season in the tournament so far. They won their first game against Nepal and they carried forward the winning momentum to beat UAE A in their next match to qualify for the semi-finals. They will be trying to stay unbeaten by beating their arch-rivals on Wednesday as well. After being asked to bat first, fifties from Sahibzada Farhan (63), Kamran Ghulam (63), Saim Ayub (56) and Mohammad Haris (55) helped the team post a huge total of 309 against UAE A. Qasim Akram picked up six wickets as they bundled out UAE on 125 to win the match by 184 runs.
India A, meanwhile, confirmed a berth in the semi-finals of the tournament by defeating Nepal in their second match. They had already won their first game against UAE A and ensured that they beat Nepal as well. The bowlers did a great job of knocking over Nepal on 167. While chasing a modest total, Sai Sudharsan (58*) and Abhishek Sharma (87) took charge with the bat and reached the target in just 22.1 overs as well.
The pitch at the R. Premadasa Stadium helps the batters. While they can play freely after getting set in the middle, bowlers will have to struggle a bit and they have to bowl in the right areas as well. Meanwhile, rain is predicted in Colombo on Wednesday, with the temperature expected to be between 26 to 30 degrees Celsius as well.
