The 11th match of the ACC Men’s Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2023 will take place between Nepal and UAE A at the P Sara Oval in Colombo on July 19. Nepal have played two games so far and they have lost both. They lost to Pakistan A in their first game and then they lost their next game against India A. Now, they will have to play their best game against UAE to finish the tournament on a high note. However, Nepal batted first against India A and their captain Rohit Paudel scored 65 but they lacked support from the other end as they got out for only 167. The bowlers could only manage to pick a single wicket as India A chased down the total with ease.
UAE A, on the other hand, also have gone through a similar journey in the ACC Men’s Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2023. They have already been knocked out of the tournament, having failed to win a single match so far. After losing to India A, they faced a heavy loss to Pakistan A and will hope to register with a win over Nepal. Jash Giyanani claimed three wickets but the other bowlers failed to do well as Pakistan A posted 309 on the board. Their batters failed to do well while chasing the massive total as they got dismissed on 125 to lose the game by a big margin of 184 runs as well.
The pitch at the P Sara Oval will help both the batters and the bowlers. The spinners will play a crucial role while bowling at this venue, making things difficult for the batters as well. The temperature in Colombo is likely to be between 26 to 30 degrees Celsius, with heavy rain predicted in the morning itself.
