Nia Ali was born on October 23, 1988. She is an American track and field athlete who excels in the heptathlon, 100-meter hurdles, and other events. In the 100-meter hurdles, she won the silver medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics. She also won the 100-meter hurdles world title in 2019 and the 60-meter hurdles world title twice in a row, in 2014 and 2016 in Portland. Ali moved to Pleasantville, New Jersey for her senior year after being raised in the Germantown neighborhood of Philadelphia. She graduated from Pleasantville High School in 2006 after spending her junior year there.
Nia Ali took a year off from competing in 2015 to give birth to her son with hurdler Michael Tinsley. In order to successfully defend her gold medal, she went back to the 2016 World Indoor Championships. She carried her son on the victory lap after winning. In order to qualify to compete for Team USA at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Brazil, Ali finished third in the 100-meter hurdles event at the 2016 United States Olympic Trials in a time of 12:55, behind teammates Brianna Rollins and Kristi Castlin.
Later on in the year, she took home the Olympic silver medal. In the women’s 100-meter hurdles event at the 2016 Olympics, the United States became the first nation to take home the gold, silver, and bronze medals, marking another first for American women in any Olympic track and field competition. With a personal-best time of 12:34, Nia won the gold medal in the 100-meter hurdles at the 2019 IAAF World Championships in Doha, Qatar. She shares ninth place among all performers, along with Sharika Nelvis, thanks to the time.

Andre De Grasse was born on November 10, 1994. He is a sprinter from Canada. De Grasse, a six-time medalist at the Olympics, is the 200 m Olympic champion for 2020 and also took home the silver in the event in 2016. 2020 saw him take home another silver in the 4100 relay. Additionally, he has three bronze Olympic medals after finishing third in the 100 m at the 2016 and 2020 Games as well as the 4100 m relay in 2016. At the World Athletics Championships in 2022 and 2015, respectively, De Grasse won a gold and a bronze medal in the same event. He won two bronze medals in the 100 m in 2015 and 2019, as well as a silver in the 200 m in Doha, giving him three individual World medals. Andre was the Canadian record holder in the 200 m, he ran a 19:06 in Tokyo, placing him eighth all-time in the 200 m. He was also the double Pan American champion and the NCAA champion in the 100 and 200 meters.
