In a very short period, Ewa Swoboda has distinguished herself as among the top Polish athletes. After being ruled out of the World Indoor Championships and the Tokyo Olympics in 2020, she came back strongly and broke a Polish record with a time of 6.99 in the Polish nationals on March 5, 2022. As a result, her ranking on the all-time list rose to number 10. Moreover, the 2019 European Indoor Athletics winner Ewa shocked five-time Olympic champion Elaine Thompson-Herah at the World Athletics Indoor Tour in Torun in February. Following her victory at the European Indoors in 2019, she had to withdraw from the 2021 competition due to a positive COVID-19 test. Later, the troublesome foot prevented her from competing in the Tokyo 2020 Games. She announced on her social media site that she had plantar fasciitis.

She clocked a timing of 11.30 s in the preliminary round which was three-tenths faster than anyone else. As a result, Swoboda appeared to be a clear gold medal winner at the Youth Olympic Games which took place in Nanjing in 2014. However, she was disqualified after she made a false start in the final and had to return without a medal. Ewa made her international debut at the 2013 World Youth Championships in Donetsk. She impressed everyone by placing fourth in the 100-meter sprint event and being the second-best European after Ky Westbrook, an American high school standout.

The polish athlete achieved a world junior record for the indoor 60m in Torun at the start of the 2016 season with a time of 7.07. She continued this success in the outdoors, finishing second to Candace Hill of the USA in the 2016 World Junior Championships with a personal best of 11.12. She made her Olympic debut three weeks later in Rio 2016 when she breezed through the heats before entering the semi-finals. The 2017 European Team Championships was the second time she had a false start. However, three weeks later, in Bydgoszcz, she bounced back by capturing the European U23 title.
